D3ILLDM1 is a conversion from the Quake III ILLDM1 map by myself that was never released for public, and was focused on low spec machines. This Doom 3 version of the map keeps the same structure than its predecessor, and also allows the players to use the jump pads as they would do in Quake III. I changed the paths and powerups to adjust to D3's new style.
This is probably the biggest project I ever took on in my level designing career. A Doom 3 single player map which had all the features the original game did; a storyline driven by PDA notes with scary messages, twists, a few audio recordings, and some funny moments. The gameplay evolved around the D3 atmosphere, aka loads of scary moments that made the players jump off their chairs and some tough combat situations against all sorts of demons. For this, I also composed part of the soundtrack named like the map itself which ended up being part of my nuMPad project. Unfortunately the work was never released due to some small but quite annoying bugs that had to do with the game engine more than with the coding itself.
